Ceratostigma plumbaginoides is a low, spreading hardy perennial prized for its vivid gentian‑blue flowers and striking red‑bronze autumn foliage. Flowering begins in late summer and continues well into autumn, providing valuable colour when most perennials are fading. Plants form neat, ground‑hugging mats that creep gently, making them ideal for borders, slopes, and gravel gardens. Its combination of intense blue blooms and fiery autumn leaves makes it one of the best late‑season groundcovers.
